AMSTERDAM—The twenty-second edition of Amsterdam’s Tribal Art Fair (TAF) will be held this year from October 24 to 27, 2024.
Once again, the grand De Duif church, one of the city’s most emblematic landmarks, will be the venue for this specialized art fair that attracts visitors from all over the world.
Organized by Finette Lemaire, the event will bring together some twenty international dealers presenting a variety of artworks at all price levels and of all types from Africa, Oceania, Asia, and the Americas.
Throughout the fair, the public will also have access to a program of activities and events designed to increase their knowledge and enhance their visit. Recently published books will be on display, including anthropologist Koos Knol’s memoir Papua Blues and Albert Zonneveld’s Traditional Weapons of Nias: The Island of Warriors.
Finally, last year’s symposium on the topic of the authenticity of ethnographic artworks will be further elaborated upon this year.
