LOS ANGELES—Bonhams’ next Native American art sale is scheduled for December 8, 2020, and will consist of approximately 200 lots of historic material, including antique and historic jewelry, Hopi and Zuni katsinam, Northwest Coast and Eskimo objects, Navajo weavings, and Plains material, as well as modern and contemporary Native American art.
Highlights include katsinam with both Forrest Fenn and Jay C. Leff provenance, an exceptional Thule maternity miniature, Haida and Tlingit walrus ivory effigy pendants with J. J. Klejman provenance, Navajo weavings—including a late classic third phase chief’s blanket—and Plains material, including an early Plateau man’s beaded shirt and a Great Lakes effigy calumet pipe.
