SANTA FE AND BEYOND—The annual summer shows in Santa Fe were cancelled this year due to COVID-19 concerns, but a number of dealers stepped up and created a virtual event that was remarkably well received.
Since the pandemic is not showing signs of subsiding anytime soon, Sherwoods Spirit of America, James Compton Gallery, Brant Mackley Gallery, and Trotta-Bono Ltd. have formalized their online exhibition efforts under the name Santa Fe Virtual.
This January they’ll host The Winter Online Show, an invitational show featuring some seventy-five dealers of fine historical native and tribal art.
Many are from the Santa Fe area, but the rest are from around the United States and beyond, and most are familiar from the art show circuit over the years.
